Energy Planning

The Intent

Next, Integration continues by managing your energy instead of time. Energy Planning exists to structure work and recovery in tune with your natural energy cycles to prevent burnout and to maintain steady progress.

The Practice

Observe and track your typical day for a week, noting when your focus and motivation peak, as well as when they fall. Identify when you perform best, and when fatigue sets in. Schedule your most demanding work in high-energy periods, and protect them from interruption. Follow each focus block with a period of brief recovery: movement, food, quiet time, rest. Treat rest, sleep, and renewal not as lost time, but as non-negotiable maintenance. They are what keep you running, and only by taking care of yourself can you take care of your goals and milestones.

The Insight

Rather than trying to optimise your time, this treats energy as the limiting resource to be planned. Planning by your rhythm sustains performance without exhaustion, and Integration stabilises performance through sustainable pacing.
