Curiosity Log
The Intent
After filtering out dependence, Illumination uncovers where your attention flows when no external outcome is attached. The Curiosity Log reveals the subjects your authentic self is drawn to, the ones that sustain genuine engagement.
The Practice
For the next seven days, note down what topics, activities, or questions naturally catch your attention and attract you without outside influence. Each day, choose whichever feels most engaging and spend half an hour exploring it. Read, research, write, watch, engage with it. After every session, write down how your energy and focus responded, whether or not you felt yourself distracted and drained, or engaged and energised, while engaging with it. At the end of the week, review your notes and identify which curiosities or interests kept returning.
The Insight
Recurring signals without external validation signal authentic and intrinsic drivers, while transient ones are nothing but shallow distractions. The authentic ones point towards values and pursuits that belong to you, not external expectations.
